「米の消費量について」
説明
　お米は、おいしく栄養のバランスがよく、しかも日本で自給できる数少ない食物の一つである。しかし、日本では朝食にパンをとる家庭が多いように、米の消費量は年々減っている。
　米の消費量が減ることによる問題点として考えられるのは、稲作中心に成り立ってきた日本の文化と伝統が失われることだ。よ日本では地域のお祭りなどの行事も稲作と深く結びついている。また水田が作る景観や自然環境は、米作りと結びつかなければしだいに失われていく可能性がある。
　米の消費量を増加させるための解決策として考えられるのは、次のようなことだ。まず米を使った料理をさまざまな形で工夫することである。例えばハンバーガーでも、パンではなくコメを使う例があるがこのような形を広げていくことが考えられる。もう一つは、米の消費を国内だけで考えるのではなく日本の安全でおいしい米という特色を生かして海外にまで市場を広げていくことだ。
　米は単なる食品の一つではなく、日本の文化や自然環境と深く結びついていたものだということを私たちが自覚していく必要がある。

「行事の係をくじ引きで決めることについて」
説明
　第一段落は、説明と意見。
　行事の係を、未経験者の中からくじ引きで決めるというのは、私はあまりよいやり方ではないと思う。もっとみんなが納得し、更によりよい行事を企画できるような決め方があるはずだ。

　第二段落は、理由。
　係や委員の未経験者の中からくじ引きで決めるやり方がよくないと思うのは、第一に、行事の係を、みんなが嫌がるもの、避けたがるものであるという考えを前提にしているからだ。
　行事の係とは、もともと、クラスをよりよく運営するために作られたものだ。と考えれば、クラスの全員が、行事の係を価値あるものだと考えるような決め方にしていく必要がある。
　第二は、未経験者の中から選ぶことによって、新しい企画ができる可能性もあるが、逆に経験不足から不十分な企画になる可能性も高いと思うからだ。

　第三段落は、方法。
　私は、次のような方法で係を決めるのがよいと思う。
　第一は、係を決める前に、これまでの行事の経験からどういう行事が必要かということを論議することだ。
　行事のイメージがはっきりしてくれば、自主的に係をやりたいという人が出てくることもあると思う。
　第二は、係がなかなか決まらない場合でも、できるだけ話し合いの中で決めるようにすることだ。時間はかかるかもしれないが、逆に時間をかけて決めたものほど、みんなの協力が得られると思うからだ。

　第四段落は、まとめ。
　学校のクラスとは、ただ勉強するだけの場所ではなく、私たちがその中で人間的にも成長していく場だと思う。
　係を決めるような一見小さなことでも、私たちの決め方によって、いろいろなことを学ぶことができる。
　私はこれから（……などとまとめる。）
